Cultural experiance
Today, we were able to sleep in and have nice big breakfast. After we filled ourselves up we packed to get ready to leave our hotel. When we finished packing, it was around 1 O’Clock P.M. When we left it was 86 and sunny until about 4 when it started to rain. We checked out of our fancy hotel, and packed the car to leave to go meet Dahrel’s Aunt in Botafogo. The drive was only 30 minutes. As we drove, we enjoyed the scenery. As we arrived, we were welcomed by Dahrel’s family, and saw that there was homemade Feijoada (or brazilian black beans dish.) along with some rice and Farofa (toasted yuca flour mixture.) This is a very famous brazilian dish. After we ate and talked for a long time, it was about 4. After taking out the table and doing some house chores, such as doing the dishes, we unpacked and got settled in for the night. That night We all went to Tupac to have some drinks and desserts. We got the chocolate humado. That night, we had a family game night and practices our Portuguese. It was very fun! When it was about 10 P.M we all retired to our rooms.
