Day 9 Brazilian Muesum


Day 9- 3rd Museum of Brazil Yay!
Overview of our day:
Historical
When we woke up, we made ourselves a yummy breakfast. When it was about 11:45 we headed up to the city of Rio and explored around the beautiful city. When it was around 1 P.M we entered into the National Museum of Brazil. This place is a huge castle! We ate there in the museum at around 2 P.M. at a local store. We then stayed longer to enjoy the huge museum. When it was about 4 P.M We started to drive home, but on the way we stopped at a Pizzeria called Eccellenza Pizzeria Artesanal. We ate a lot of pizza and a yummy dessert. We then headed home and retired for the day.
Cost:
Food: Breakfast was free. Lunch: 10 dollars a person. Dinner: Pizzeria 6 dollars a person 30 dollars total

Day 8- The Christ Redemeer




 
Day 8- 2nd Christ the Redeemer
Historical
Overview of our day:
When we woke up, we had a breakfast at the family's house. When it was about 10:00 AM we headed up to the city of Rio, this time just going through it because we had tickets to the Christ Redeemer statue, one of the city’s most proud historical monuments. We really enjoyed the ride to the statue, you got to see nearly everything the city has to offer, and it was a lot. We had seen the statue before on a picture, but weren’t quite sure on what to expect. But, it was a spectacular, especially the views of the city of Rio in the peak of the day. It really helped us appreciate the culture of the people and gave us a positive outlook on the country. We were so glad we got to see it because when a lot of the city and surrounding attractions, some that we may not have had time to see. After a few hours at the Christ Redeemer statue, we decided to go back to the house, arriving at about 5:00 pm with the heavy traffic of the capital. At about 5:45, we had decided that we were very hungry for dinner. We all agreed that since we were in Rio, we may as well eat at a restaurant. We went to the Tupac Restobar for its superior service and most of all taste. We all decided to go there, and we arrived at about 6:00 and got seated around 6:20. The menu was very diverse, offering many different foods from many different categories. We all looked at our menu, we all ordered Dr. Pepper as our drink and el bambinos as our main dish. It was the most delicious meal we had tasted since being in Brazil. Later, we ordered chocolate humeros for dessert, which was one of the most unique meals we had eaten in recent time. We went to bed exhausted, after a long day of sightseeing and on a full stomach.
Cost:
Food: Breakfast was free from Dahrel’s family. Lunch: We packed for free. Dinner: Tupac restaurant cost of  about 13 dollars a person total of 65 dollars
Places we went:
Christ the Redeemer: Cost 41 dollars a person for the tram so a total of 205 dollars

Day 7 - Going to the beach

Sports and Culture
Day 7-1st The Beach
Overview of our day:
Today, when we woke up (at 10 P.M), we ate a healthy breakfast while socializing with the family. After eating, some people cleaned up the kitchen while other people started packing snacks and drinks, along with some clothes and towels, to get ready for the fun day at the beach. It was a great day for the beach it was 84 and completely sunny When we finished packing and getting everything ready, it was about 1:30. We drove down to the famous beach Praia de Copacabana. We stayed there all day playing soccer in the sun and body surfing big waves in the salt water. We at lunch on the beach. We stayed there until sundown, packed up, and left to go home to have a snack before bed, then going to sleep for a good nights sleep.
Cost:
Food: Breakfast was provided by Dahrel’s family. Lunch was food that we packed earlier that day. Supper: We packed it earlier that day all of it was free.

Indigenous Meal:
Today, we drank the best drink in Brazil. It is also the most natural meal you can find! It is fresh coconut water in the actual coconut. We got it at a vendor on the beach. He made a whole in the fresh coconut right in front of us! He gave each of us one for free! He knew we were visitors and gave the coconuts to us! It was the best water we have ever tasted!

Sport:

Today we witnessed the most famous sport in Brazil. Beach soccer! We saw people set up goals and play! It was very fun!
