Day 11- Sugarloaf mountain and Copacabana beach
Summary of the Day:
HISTORICAL
We woke up at about 8 o'clock because we had big plans for this day. We were eating breakfast while chatting about our activities, and how to space them out. We decided to start off at the Sugarloaf mountains today, and then after an hour or two go to Copabana beach. So, we started to go off to the Sugarloaf Mountain. At that point, we had no idea what to expect, but we had heard great things about it. We arrived and were amazed because it was so big and interesting looking. It was so odd to see a single mountain, but still really cool. At about 11:30 we were hungry for lunch, so we are it on Sugarloaf Mountain, because there was a convenient lunch spot set up. We decided to leave at about noon, still full of energy.
We drove to Copabana Beach because it was only ten minutes away and easy to get to from Sugarloaf Mountain. When we got there we were surprised because you could actually see the Sugarloaf Mountain from the beach. The beach was huge, so we decide to go on a walk for about an hour, and we didn't even come close to walking the distance of the beach. We were lucky we remembered our bathing suits, because the weather was about 90 degrees fahrenheit, and we were burning up. The water was amazing, perfect temperature and there were great waves, we body surfed and hung out in the water for about 3 hours. It was a lot of fun and we checked our phones and realized it was 5:00 and we had to get to our new hotel in Sao Paulo! We were very lucky that we didn't have much traffic and we made it there by 10:30 with only one quick stop at fast food. We checked in, settled down and were all fast asleep by 11:00.
