Overview of our day:
When we woke up, we had a breakfast at the family's house. When it was about 10:00 AM we headed up to the city of Rio, this time just going through it because we had tickets to the Christ Redeemer statue, one of the city’s most proud historical monuments. We really enjoyed the ride to the statue, you got to see nearly everything the city has to offer, and it was a lot. We had seen the statue before on a picture, but weren’t quite sure on what to expect. But, it was a spectacular, especially the views of the city of Rio in the peak of the day. It really helped us appreciate the culture of the people and gave us a positive outlook on the country. We were so glad we got to see it because when a lot of the city and surrounding attractions, some that we may not have had time to see. After a few hours at the Christ Redeemer statue, we decided to go back to the house, arriving at about 5:00 pm with the heavy traffic of the capital. At about 5:45, we had decided that we were very hungry for dinner. We all agreed that since we were in Rio, we may as well eat at a restaurant. We went to the Tupac Restobar for its superior service and most of all taste. We all decided to go there, and we arrived at about 6:00 and got seated around 6:20. The menu was very diverse, offering many different foods from many different categories. We all looked at our menu, we all ordered Dr. Pepper as our drink and el bambinos as our main dish. It was the most delicious meal we had tasted since being in Brazil. Later, we ordered chocolate humeros for dessert, which was one of the most unique meals we had eaten in recent time. We went to bed exhausted, after a long day of sightseeing and on a full stomach.
